By using the outside handle when compressing the setting tongs the inside handle will come even with the handle of the other side so that you can easily then grasp both handles with your other hand. This makes the handle transfer process easy and you can then reach down with your free hand to flip the spring latch over the spring. Freedom Brand Quick Grip Steel Setting Tongs are available in two sizes. The medium is 21″ long and is designed for use with #160 and #220 body grip traps. The large is 29″ long and is designed for use with #220, #280 and #330 body grip traps.
